Doug William Borchert died on March 23rd 2020 of COVID-19 pneumonia. Doug graduated with a degree in history from UC Davis and a MBA from Berkeley. Doug worked for 45 years in the insurance industry during which he also obtained a law degree.  He was an amateur historian and gave life long learning classes in Nevada history and especially featuring figures like Mark Twain.
