Mike Mulcahy

Mike was born in San Francisco on August 1, 1943 and passed away on October 13, 2018 at the age of 75. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Mary R. Mulcahy of Sacramento and Wilbur Mulcahy of Arcata, CA, and his son Michael T. Mulcahy of Folsom, CA. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 42 years, Jeanne, son Matthew Mulcahy and his wife Laura of Acampo, CA, and daughter Kelly Mulcahy and her husband Keith of Rancho Murieta, CA. He also leaves behind his cherished granddaughter Morgan Mulcahy and cherished grandson Ryan Mulcahy of Acampo, and loved grandson Kyle Lutz of Rancho Murieta, CA. Mike is also survived by his sisters Kathy Hillier and her husband Ray of Sacramento, and Maureen Rhodes of Saratoga, CA. He also leaves behind several cousins, nieces and nephews. Mike moved from Mill Valley to Sacramento when he was a small child and lived in the Sacramento area his entire life. He graduated from C.K. McClatchy High School and Sheet Metal Workers Union, Local 162 Apprenticeship Program. He has been a member of Local 162 since 1961, working in the industrial and commercial field for 40 years before retiring in 2000. Mike took pride in all he did and was a talented craftsman and mechanic. He was fun-loving and athletic his entire life, enjoying water skiing behind the boats he built, snow skiing, dirt bike and street bike riding and playing softball. During his retirement, Mike especially enjoyed traveling with his wife Jeanne, remodeling their homes, playing softball in the seniors softball league, numerous motorcycle rides, reading, listening to good music and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Mike will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Per Mike's wishes, no services will be held. Interment will be private. May he rest in peace.
